COLLEGE OF PSYCHOLOGY AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES
AMERICAN SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY program prepares students with the clinical skills required to serve the mental health needs of individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds. Students develop proficiency in clinical observation, assessment, intervention and evaluation. The program also includes a comprehensive focus on clinical psychology theory and research. It is designed for students who are interested in a terminal degree and practice as a master?s-level clinician, or for students planning to transfer to the PsyD Program.
The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY program provides coursework in forensic psychology for application to law enforcement, legal and organizational consultation, and program analysis. The program is designed to meet growing needs of the legal and criminal justice systems for professional counseling within victim assistance programs, probation and parole offices, court-mandated treatment programs, jails and prisons. With the exception of the practicum component, courses are offered on weekends allowing students to continue full-time employment while enrolled in the program.
The DOCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY (PSYD) IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY program prepares students to deliver basic diagnostic and therapeutic services to diverse populations including, individuals, groups and families. By integrating theory, training, research, and practice, students develop and apply the clinical skills of observation, assessment, intervention, and evaluation. Students may choose an optional concentration in: Child & Family Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology, Marriage/Couples & Family Therapy, or Neuropsychology.

MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY
The MASTER OF ARTS (MA) IN MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY program develops the theoretical and clinical elements required to provide effective counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups. The program introduces students to basic counseling skills that incorporate foundations of applied psychology and systems theory into the development of appropriate clinical relationships. It is intended for students who wish to continue professional development or pursue a career change. Students may choose an optional concentration in Forensic Counseling.
The DOCTOR OF MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY (DMFT) program is a terminal, practice-oriented degree for licensed marriage and family therapists or professionals. The program expands knowledge of human development, family dynamics, systemic thinking, interactional theories, traditional and contemporary theories and practices, and the cultural contexts within which these are embedded. Curriculum provides opportunities for advanced study and research of systemic concepts and methods as applied to clinical work with children, couples, individuals, and families, as well as to larger systems of organizations and communities. Focus includes developing skills related to leadership and service to the field in the areas of teaching and supervision.

The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP program is designed for working professionals who wish to develop the knowledge and skills required to hold leadership positions in viable, complex organizations that are capable of meeting future challenges. We focus on transformational leadership skills in addition to managerial attributes. This approach prepares students for strategic challenges such as increasing globalization, changing economies, societal shifts, and individual-organizational relationships.

The MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION (MAED) IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP program is designed to instill key philosophies, theories and values that impact education. It prepares students to improve policies and practices within organizations through the motivation and supervision of others. Students develop skills needed to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs and curricula. Courses include educational law, educational finance, organizational communication, human resource management, instruction supervision, and organizational management.
The MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION (MAED) IN INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP program examines the challenges and problems encountered in today?s educational environment. Coursework encompasses the historical, philosophical, psychological, social, technical, and theoretical aspects of education. Students develop skills in analysis, oral and written communication, problem solving, critical thinking, team building, and computer technology. The program is designed for those who wish to develop or enhance classroom skills, become curriculum supervisors, or become educational leaders with a focus on instruction.
The EDUCATION SPECIALIST (EDS) IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP program concentrates on applied organizational theory within the context of educational organizations. This specialized program develops the competencies required to secure educational administrator positions at the elementary or secondary school level.
The EDUCATION SPECIALIST (EDS) IN INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP program enables experienced teachers to become more effective practitioners and educational leaders with a focus on instruction. Coursework is designed to satisfy the requirements of students seeking career advancement, and those who are working toward a doctorate degree.
The DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (EDD) IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP program is designed to enhance educational leadership strengths. Students learn innovative and collaborative techniques used to manage and govern educational institutions. The program prepares students for leadership positions in school district, regional, state or national administration. It is designed to develop a new breed of leader ? one who can identify challenges and opportunities, draw on the latest technology and information, use advanced analytical and planning approaches, and execute plans for positive change. Core courses include a broad array of foundation subjects with relevant to meeting challenges and problems encountered in modern organizations. Students are required to choose from a variety of concentrations: Customized Professional Concentration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems Management, International Business, Management, or Marketing. The MASTER OF SCIENCE (MSM) IN MANAGEMENT program is designed to meet the operations and leadership needs of managers and supervisors in public, private, and not for profit industries. A goal of this program is to enable students to diagnose multiple organizational circumstances, determine and evaluate options, and implement and evaluate a plan of action. This concentration will benefit individuals, practitioners, consultants, and advisors who are or want to become responsible for administrating for-profit and not-for- profit organizations.
The DOCTOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (DBA) program provides industry and academic professionals the opportunity to build upon core skills and knowledge gained through the master?s program. The MASTER OF SCIENCE IN HEALTH SERVICES MANAGEMENT (HSM) provides a comprehensive course of graduate study to prepare health service providers and managers for the challenges of modern healthcare. The program recognizes the value of applied research in solving the problems of today?s health systems, and encourages the acquisition of sustainable research methods and skills. The program curriculum is intended to provide students with an advanced understanding of contemporary business practices, modern healthcare systems and organization, policy development and planning techniques, management and leadership strategies, health behaviors, financial management, and analytical research methods.
