The College of Saint Rose offers 45 graduate degree programs that provide career-specific preparation and instruction by a mentoring and experienced faculty. Small classes, opportunities for independent study, and ? in many programs ? internships for various practicum or fieldwork experiences facilitate the learning process. The objectives of Saint Rose graduate study are to encourage intellectual curiosity, foster creative thought, and promote careful research and professional competence.
Most of the College's graduate programs support both full- and part-time students. These courses are scheduled in the late afternoon and evening to accommodate the large number of students with daytime commitments to work or family. Part-time students usually finish in two or three years, full-time students in one and a half years. The College operates on an academic year of two 15-week semesters, fall and spring, as well as two six-week summer semesters, and a three-week summer immersion program. The Accounting and MBA programs offer three 11-week sessions.
A limited number of graduate assistantships and merit scholarships are awarded annually to graduate students who have been unconditionally accepted into a graduate program and who are enrolled in a minimum of nine graduate credits per semester. Awards are granted for one academic year (fall and spring semesters) and include a partial tuition remission. Applications, guidelines and additional information can be obtained from the Graduate and Continuing Education Admissions office or downloaded at www.strose.edu/gradassistance.
