D?Youville College offers a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), and Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership, Health Policy, and Health Education. Master of Science degrees are offered in Childhood, Adolescence and Special Education, TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages), Clinical Nurse Specialist in Community Health Nursing (concentrations in Advanced Clinical Nursing, Management, Teaching), Nursing (choice of clinical focus), Family Nurse Practitioner (Master?s degree and Post-Master?s Certificate), Health Services Administration, International Business, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, and Physician Assistant. Advanced Certificate Programs are available in Clinical Research Associate, Health Services Administration, Long-Term Care Administration, and Nursing and Health-Related Professions Education.

The 7-year Doctor of Chiropractic program offers several entry points depending on the applicant?s academic background. Students holding bachelor?s degrees and those with 90 plus credit hours of undergraduate coursework may be eligible for entry into the 4-year professional phase of the program.

The innovative doctoral (EdD) program in Health Policy and Health Education offers concentrations in Health Policy for those preparing for management and leadership positions in the health care system, and in Health Education for those prparing for college teaching or institutional education in health fields.

The doctoral (EdD) program in Educational Leadership is designed exclusively for practicing education professionals who are striving to meet the challenges facing our education system.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is designed for advanced practice nursing professionals who will be prepared to implement new practice approaches to health care delivery.

For nurses holding a master's degree in an advanced practice specialty, the Doctor of Nursing Practice program utilizes the integration of communications, business, financial and culturally sensitive principles in preparation for your role shaping the future of quality health care. An individual plan of study is developed after a detailed evaluation of transcripts including verified clinical hours. Therefore total program requirements may range from 34-48 credits.

The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program is designed to prepare students to practice in an inter-professional patient-centered environment where pharmacists are responsible for assisting patients in managing their medication regimes. Students holding bachelor's degrees and those with 65 credits of required undergraduate course prerequisites may be eligible to apply for admissions at the professional level.

The Childhood, Adolescence, Special Education and TESOL Master of Science programs meet revised New York State regulations for professional certification. Students in the program may also seek initial certification upon completion of NYS initial certification requirements. Certification extensions are also available upon completion of additional coursework.

Canadian students will fulfill New York State and Ontario College of Teachers regulations, which will enable them to apply for New York State and Ontario certification. Graduate Teacher Certification Programs are available in Childhood and Adolescence Education.

The program in Health Services Administration leads to an MS degree with courses focusing on a systems approach for managing health care services including financial management, policy and economics, legal aspects of health care, quantitative methods for health care decision making, and epidemiology. A practicum is required to complement individual careers and interests. The curriculum is designed to prepare managers and administrators by integrating quantitative analysis, critical thinking/writing, application of theory, leadership and technology.

With concentrations in Advanced Clinical Nursing, Management, and Teaching, the MS in Clinical Nurse Specialist in Community Health Nursing prepares an individual to assist the profession and society by direct practice, as well as by management in a health care setting or by education of its future nurses. This National League for Nursing accredited program is unique in that study can be pursued on a full- or part-time basis, either weekday evenings or in an all-day Friday format.

The Master of Science program in Nursing offers students the opportunity, with guidance, to self-design the clinical component of the program in areas such as Care of the Homeless Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, and Adult Health Nursing.

The Master of Science and the Post-Master?s certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner prepares nurses to provide primary care for patients of all ages. Students already holding a Master?s degree in nursing are eligible for the 30 credit Post-Master?s Certificate program. Graduates will have 700 hours of clinical experience in providing primary care to patients of all ages in a variety of clinical settings.

The Master of Science program in International Business, which is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), combines specialized training in international business with a strong foundation in a foreign language, research, communication, ethics, and interpersonal skills. Students will be able to combine theoretical and practical knowledge through fieldwork experiences. Options include business internship opportunities with U.S. offices of multinational corporations as well as opportunities to combine work and study abroad.

The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy is an entry-level degree specifically created for person with a BA or BS degree in another area of study. The three-year program includes courses in occupational therapy theory and practice and six months of supervised fieldwork and research.

The Master of Science in Physician Assistant offers two tracks to meet traditional freshman (5-year BS/MS) and transfer student (3-year MS) needs. Each curriculum offers advanced medicine coursework, extensive clinical placement opportunities (at least 1700 hours) and the opportunity to complete an applied research project. The program is fully accredited by ARC-PA.

The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs offer quality fieldwork and clinical experiences at over 400 clinical sites in North America and abroad. Internet discussion runs concurrently with clinical fieldwork experiences allowing you continuous connection to faculty. The Doctor of Physical Therapy program is organized as 12-month curricula, allowing you to enter practice in a minimum of time.

Currently licensed Physical Therapists seeking to upgrade their degree status from MPT to DPT may be eligible for admission into the transitional doctor of physical therapy program. The program consists of 22 graduate credits, 10 credits must be taken at D?Youville College. Post professional graduate credit may be transferred in and credit for life for post professional certification may be awarded. Courses are all taught with internet mediation. Two of the five mandatory core courses require on-campus attendance one or two weekends during the semester the course is taken.
