Dakota State University is also very affordable and the MSIA, MSIS, and MSET degrees have been awarded the Best Buy award from Get.Educated.com.
Dakota State University offers the following graduate degrees:
The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) degree focuses on the integration of information technology with business problems and opportunities, enabling information systems professionals to understand technological issues as well as business concepts and fundamentals.
The Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI) is designed to produce graduate level prepared health informatics professionals for executive-level and enterprise-wide administrative, research, and/or applied health informatics positions. Governments, healthcare organizations and professional bodies are increasingly recognizing the need for efficient and effective access to patient information to improve the value of health care, with information technology used as an enabler in this endeavor.
The Master of Science in Educational Technology (MSET) allows educators to meet the increasing demands of integrating technology in curriculum and instruction. Graduates should be proficient in all aspects of educational technology and its applications.
The Master of Science in Information Assurance (MSIA) prepares graduates to protect an organization's information assets. It educates graduates in advanced technology, security and implementation issues. Both the National Security Agency and The Department of Homeland Security have designated DSU as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE).
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management is an MBA that has an information technology focus with it. The MBA is offered only at the University Center in Sioux Falls, SD and is intended to meet the growing demands of the Sioux Falls area and the need to employ more people with graduate degrees in business. The program is intended to meet that demand, particularly for entry-level and lower-middle management professionals who are pursuing the degree as a means of improving their business expertise and employment prospects. The program will prepare students for careers in business and provide opportunities for career advancement.
The Doctor of Science (DSc) in Information Systems prepares individuals for careers in teaching, research, consulting, and corporate employment. The program emphasizes applied scholarship, focusing on multi-disciplinary research projects with a strong emphasis on the application of information systems.
The graduate programs at Dakota State University have several strong advantages over competing programs: all programs benefit from the technology infrastructure already in place on campus; all programs are supported by a faculty and staff whose technology skills are extraordinarily high.
