MBA Career Fair to connect students with employers

Monday, September 12, 2011
Business professionals who are seeking to enhance their present career path may want to explore options presented at a Career Fair. These Fairs often provide opportunities for individuals to connect with potential employers.

The College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the National Society of Hispanic MBA and 11 MBA programs will come together to offer the annual Midwest MBA Career Fair on October 21, 2011 in Chicago. Some of the schools that will participate in the event are the University of Notre Dame, the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Purdue University and The Ohio State University.

Companies that will be represented at the fair include Liberty Mutual, ConAgra, Sears Holdings and United Airlines, among others. MBA students who attend the event will have an opportunity to speak with officials from these organizations, and in the process, expand their professional networks.

"Bringing these schools together gives our partner companies a tremendous pool of talent in one location," said Ron Watkins, assistant dean at the University of Illinois. "Our students will benefit tremendously from this opportunity to connect with many of the best employers in the marketplace."
