Iona College is a college in the tradition of the Christian Brothers and American Catholic higher education. It is located in suburban New Rochelle, NY, a 20-minute train ride from the heart of New York City. This ideal proximity to New York City provides Iona students numerous career, internship and leisure opportunities. Situated on 35 acres, the campus is surrounded by a residential community and is minutes from a thriving downtown shopping and entertainment district. Its location in lower Westchester County makes it easily accessible from several parkways, highways and by commuter rail.
Iona also offers master?s degrees, advanced certificates and post-master?s certificates in a variety of programs including communication, computer technology, education, criminal justice, finance and health care management. The graduate programs are designed for working adults, with classes that meet in the late afternoons and evenings. Weekend programs and online course offerings are available. Courses are taught in a traditional classroom setting or a hybrid format of online and in-person meetings. Classes are taught by faculty who are practitioners in their fields. Iona is one of the only colleges in the region to hold several prestigious national accreditations for its Hagan School of Business and School of Arts and Science. Accredited programs include business (AACSB), social work (CSWE), teacher education (NCATE), computer science (ABET) and mass communication (ACEJMC). Outstanding facilities and small classes provide a professional environment with an emphasis on every student?s unique needs and abilities.
Students at Iona have access to the College?s computer network, library databases and the Internet from anywhere on campus, 24 hours a day. There are 24 computing facilities and two libraries that combined house more than 550 workstations. Iona is currently named a ?Best College in the North?
