It is a medium-sized college situated on 22 acres in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, 10 miles north of midtown Manhattan. The area offers the calm and quiet of a residential setting with the advantages of New York City.
Total enrollment, graduate and undergraduate, is approximately 3,500 students coming from 39 states and 59 foreign countries. More than 86 percent of the students receive some type of financial assistance.
The graduate division offers programs leading to master?s degrees through the schools of education and engineering. In fall of 2011, the College will launch an MBA program for qualified Manhattan undergraduate students. Please visit manhattan.edu for more details.
The school of education is committed to the mission of Manhattan College to provide a contemporary, student-centered education that embodies the Lasallian traditions of scholarship, excellence in teaching, respect for individual dignity, and commitment to social justice. The additional goal of the graduate programs is to prepare self-directed, reflective, scholarly professionals dedicated to the highest standards for themselves and those whom they serve. Professionals are prepared in the fields of counseling, school leadership and special education.
Engineering graduate programs provide the academic and professional needs of those who are already engaged in engineering or those who, having completed their undergraduate degrees, desire to enter immediately into advanced study.
