The College at Brockport is a medium size institution located in the Village of Brockport, 16 miles west of Rochester, NY, and the Rochester Monroe County International Airport. The Village of Brockport?s convenient location combines the familiarity of a small town with easy access to the opportunities of a metropolitan city. The College?s 435-acre campus is just 10 miles from the shores of Lake Ontario, with its many parks and beaches, and within easy reach of New York State?s renowned Finger Lakes, area ski resorts and Niagara Falls. Toronto is a three-hour drive from Brockport.
The College at Brockport offers 53 graduate programs including 23 areas of teacher certification, and is home to seven centers, institutes and unique academic endeavors that enrich the academic enterprise. The institutes provide forums that encourage and support the exchange of ideas and methodologies through conferences, workshops, programming, and publication of student works. The majority of graduate courses are offered at the main campus. A number of courses in a variety of disciplines are also offered at the The College at Brockport MetroCenter in downtown Rochester.
More than one third of matriculated graduate students receive financial aid. Some graduate students hold teaching, graduate, and research assistantships. A competitive fellowship program provides opportunities for students who have been admitted to graduate study and who will contribute to the diversity of the student body in the graduate program in which enrollment is sought. Full- or partial-tuition scholarships accompany most assistantships and fellowships. Graduate Opportunity Tuition Scholarships are available to students who participated in undergraduate EOP, HEOP, or SEEK programs, as funding permits.
Housing is offered to international graduate students on a space-available basis. On-campus housing offers easy access to computing facilities, the library, recreational and dining facilities and cultural events. Residential facilities include free Internet and cable TV access.
