The University of New Haven, founded in 1920, is a private, comprehensive university specializing in quality educational opportunities and preparation for self-reliant, productive careers in a global society.

Recognized nationally as a leader in experiential education, UNH offers its more than 1,700 graduate students nearly 60 graduate degree and certificate programs in the arts and sciences, business, engineering, and public safety. Most programs offer students opportunities for research and internships, providing direct experience that gives students an edge in gaining employment upon graduation. Students also have the opportunity to study in state-of-the-art facilities such as the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science and the Bergami Learning Center for Finance and Technology.

Graduate students at the University of New Haven benefit from convenient trimester scheduling and small, personalized classroom settings (on average, you'll have 15 students in your class). Don't want to get lost in the crowd? Receive the attention and dedication you need at UNH. Courses are generally offered in the evenings and on weekends.

The UNH faculty represent a combination of full-time academics who hold doctoral degrees in their specialties from a variety of prestigious institutions and part-time faculty members employed in Connecticut businesses, industries and professions who bring, in addition to academic degrees, practical insight and experience to the classroom.

The University of New Haven is located in south central Connecticut, 75 miles northeast of New York City and 135 miles southwest of Boston. Take in all that Greater New Haven has to offer with bustling nightlife, sprawling beaches, abundant shopping, hiking, and more.
