The University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) is a picturesque lakeside campus located on “Woods Reservoir” adjacent to the Arnold Engineering Development Complex. The campus is truly unique in its setting. The campus is located on 365-acres donated by the U.S. Air Force and was established in 1964. UTSI is a premier graduate education and research institute that is world renowned for its excellent research faculty and facilities.
UTSI is seeking qualified engineering and physics graduate students to engage in challenging research and academic work. For qualified students, 12-month assistantships are available that include a stipend (paycheck), health insurance, and a tuition waiver. To qualify for an assistantship, students should have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above to be competitive.
As an option to the standard classroom environment, UTSI offers an online graduate degree program in Industrial and Systems Engineering emphasizing Engineering Management.
The online Engineering Management program offers master's and PhD degrees and provides students with an educational experience that balances technical depth with the problem-solving skills necessary to develop managers that understand both the business and engineering aspects of management.
