The Graduate Division in Business at Rider University offers programs leading to a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) and an Executive MBA (EMBA). MBA and MAcc students must complete all degree requirements within a six-year period. Executive Master of Business classes for the EMBA are taught on weekends and are completed in 21 months. Classes for the MBA and MAcc are offered in the evening to accommodate student who work full-time.

The MBA program is designed for students with a variety of undergraduate backgrounds. Students complete between 30 and 51 semester hours, depending on previous academic coursework. The program consists of 24 hours of core courses, 15 hours of advanced core courses, and 12 to 15 hours of elective courses. The core curriculum is in accordance with the common body of knowledge specified by the AACSB International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) has been structured with the flexibility to prepare students from a variety of backgrounds for a successful career in public or private accounting. Depending on the student’s background and current accounting foundation, the program varies from a minimum of 30 credits to a maximum of 57 credits. The 30-credit minimum includes 15 semester hours of advanced accounting including federal tax, international and financial reporting. The remaining 15 credits will be selections from a broad offering of non-accounting MBA electives. The program is structured to meet the 150-hour CPA requirement found in most states. It also provides excellent preparation for the CMA and success in accounting and accounting-related careers.

The Executive MBA is a 51-credit MBA that enables managers to become leaders. Students master the latest financial techniques and managerial approaches they need to make decisions at the executive level.

The Department of Graduate Education Counseling and Leadership offers six master’s degree programs: Counseling Services; Curriculum, Instruction and Supervision; Educational Administration; Reading/ Language Arts; and Special Education; Teaching and Organizational Leadership and two Ed.S. programs: Counseling Services and School Psychology.

The Department also offers the following certification programs for students with a Master’s degree in an appropriate area: Supervisor, Principal/Supervisor (for Pennsylvania only) and Assistant Superintendent for Business, Students may also select from the following programs: Teacher Certification in numerous subject areas, School Business Administrator, Teacher of Reading, Teacher of Students with Disabilities, Teacher-Coordinator of Cooperative Vocational-Technical Education Programs and English as a Second Language (ESL).

All of the classes in the Department of Graduate Education Counseling and Leadership are offered in the late afternoon and evening to accommodate students who are working full-time. Graduate courses are taught by full-time faculty who hold doctoral degrees.

The Graduate Division of Westminster Choir College, The School of Music of Rider University, offers Master of Music degree programs in Sacred Music, Choral Conducting, Organ Performance, Voice Pedagogy and Performance, Music Education, Piano Accompanying and Coaching, Piano Pedagogy and Performance, Piano Performance, and Composition as well as a Master of Music Education, Master of Voice Pedagogy and Master of Arts in Teaching.
