William Paterson is known for its AACSB-accredited MBA program in the Cotsakos College of Business, which offers seven concentrations, including a new concentration in human resource management. The College of Education offers MAT, MEd, and MA degree programs, as well as numerous graduate certificates for advanced study. The University is also home to two doctoral programs, the PsyD in clinical psychology and the doctor of nursing practice (DNP). University programs are offered through five colleges in the following disciplines: arts and communication, business, education, humanities and social sciences, and science and health.
